Brinjal Chops – A Taste of My Childhood
There are some dishes that aren’t just food—they are emotions, memories, and a warm hug from the past. For me, that dish is my mom’s Brinjal Chops, a simple yet magical side that made every meal feel special.
I still remember my school lunch breaks, waiting for the bell to ring, impatiently tapping my fingers on the desk. After a long morning of classes, nothing felt better than opening my lunchbox to see steaming curd rice with my mom’s spicy brinjal chops on the side. No matter if the day was chilly or unbearably hot, that one bite of soft, masala-coated brinjal with the coolness of curd rice made everything feel right.
Somehow, this simple meal had the power to wash away all my stress, whether it was a tough math test or the worry of incomplete homework. Sitting with my school friends, sharing our lunchboxes, laughing over silly jokes, and savoring each bite—I can still picture those moments so clearly. Even now, just thinking about it makes me drool like a baby!
Whenever I feel lazy to cook or just want comfort food, this dish never fails me. It is delicious, easy to make, and trust me, one bite will take you back to your childhood.
